It's my first event. What do I need to know?

EXEO International is here to give you the chance to meet and have conversations with lots of Japanese women. Through our events, you'll have plenty of opportunities to meet new people, make friends, or best of all: find your love.

This page will cover what you need to do in order to prepare for your first event as well as things to note during the event.

  1. Event Preparation

Listed below are some things that are required for the event as well as info and tips.

    Entry fee (if applicable)

Please be sure to bring the amount due with you.

    Valid ID card (required)

Acceptable ID includes: residence card, passport, military ID, or Japanese government-issued ID.

*Customers without valid ID will not be admitted.

    Pen (required)

You will need a pen for the profile cards used during the event. Customers without a pen will need to purchase one at the reception desk of the event.

    Outfit

Although there is no specific dress code for our events, we recommend wearing something nice (especially a suit) for the event. Women find this more appealing and good looks can help improve your chances of making a match at the end of the event.

In addition to the above, please take note of the following:

    • Please confirm the location of the event. All of the venue pages have addresses and maps to their respective venues.
    • Please confirm the time and date of the event
    • Please be absolutely certain you have a finalized reservation. For more information about making reservations, please view this page.
  2. Communication During the Event

    Communication

One important tip is if you want to speak English during the event, it's advised to do so slowly. A lot of the participants will likely have some level of English ability, but please note proficiency can vary greatly by person.

If you are good with Japanese, then don't feel hesitant to use it. Communication is what the event's all about.

Some women participants also have interest in other languages. If you can speak another language, don't hesitate to mention it!

  3. Above All: Have Fun With It

Perhaps the most important point of the event is to simply have fun meeting and talking to people. Don't stress and don't panic.

Just be yourself and enjoy the event!
