One of those rare events where we have more men than women tonight in Ginza.

There was heavy rain all evening, which is the usual reason behind a lot of women cancelling. As you are probably aware, Japanese women are generally allergic to rain, and avoid it at all costs, including but not limited to a 5000yen cancellation fee - yes that is how much we charge the women who don't show up!

The atmosphere inside the venue was nonetheless very good though, and there were still plenty of women for the guys to talk to. Overall a pretty good event, just a shame about the rain really.

Golden Week in Ginza!

A big and perfectly balanced event in Ginza tonight.

We always have big events in Golden Week, and this year was no exception. Hopefully the 24 guests who left with a date had time to do something interesting together before the holiday ended.

The event was big, but fortunately not so big that there wasn't time to talk with each woman. We had about 2 minutes talk time with each woman, which is admittedly pretty short, but better than nothing.

Great event in Ginza

Quite a big party last night with a very good M:F balance. Most of the guests left as a couple too, which is pretty unusual for an event of this size. It's not so often that the number of couples will go into double figures, and it's normally a bigger event than this.

Perhaps with Christmas coming up in 6 weeks, some people were looking extra hard for someone to spend it with. As you maybe know, Christmas is a time for love in Japan, and is more of a season for couples than for families. Family time is New Year for Japanese people. So anyway, perhaps that was it, or perhaps it was just random. Our events do often seem to be pretty random in terms of... well, pretty much everything really. This was definitely one of the good ones though!

Most of the men left with a date following tonight's Ginza event.

A good atmosphere at the event, and a successful night all round. It was a big event without being too hectic. When there are more than 20 women, things tend to get quite chaotic, as there is so little time to talk to each women. The flip side though is obviously that you get to meet more women.

Simon is away for next week's event, but will be back for the first event of June on the 7th.

Big party in Ginza

A pretty massive event in Ginza with 20 men and 28 women. Having this many women to talk to necessitated only a 1 minute conversation with each woman during the first round. Only a modicum of chaos ensued, and most of the guys did a good job of moving, despite it being so hectic.

We would have hoped for a few more couples, but bearing in mind we didn't do impression cards (due to the large number of guests), 9 out of a possible 20 wasn't at all bad, as we always have less couples when we don't do the impression cards.

Decent night in Ginza

A good event tonight in Ginza. A little small, but with a great balance, good atmosphere, and half of the men leaving with a date.

We've been turning away a lot of guys trying to sign up late, so please reserve yourselves a spot as early as you can to avoid disappointment.

A small but good event tonight in Ginza. It was a somewhat cozy affair, as we're not used to having so few people at our Ginza events. The M/F balance was great though, and there was a nice atmosphere with plenty of time to talk.

It makes for a more relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. Sometimes our biggest parties have a slightly chaotic and hectic (albeit fun) feeling to them.

We had a good number of couples at the end, with most people (men and women) leaving with a date.

Big night in Ginza

We were a little low on guys compared to the women tonight, due to a few cancellations. We still had 20 men though, and so it was a big party.

Due to the number of women to talk to, the first party of the event was super busy, with only about a minute to talk to each person. Seriously speedy speed dating! Although the negative was short introductions, the positive of course was that there were lots of women to meet. As usual, most of the men left with a date (13 out of 20), so the event was as successful as ever.

The party was a bit rushed unsurprisingly, but still had a fun atmosphere and ended up with almost half of the guests leaving with a date.

Most of our men and half of our women made matches in Ginza tonight.

There was a great atmosphere and the party went great, despite a few of the guys not shuffling around particularly promptly! Everyone seemed to have a good time though.

A great couple turn out as well, with an amazing 8 out of 10 of our couples being first choice couples. (They'd both voted for each other as their first choice). It's not often that such a high proportion of guests leave with their first choice.

All in all a great event, and a good way to round off a fantastic 2011.
